It was great to see all of you last week for our last meeting of 2010. I look forward to seeing all of you on January 19th for our next meeting!
In the meantime, our new book is Hatchet by Gary Paulson. This is another quick read, so you should be able to squeeze it in over the holiday season!
If you weren't at the meeting last week, I have put books aside for you in my office. Just ask for me when you get here - if I'm not around, let staff know that you are picking up the Teen Book Club book and they will get you a copy.

Thoughts about "Out of the Cold"

Reminder: Book Club tomorrow night!

I'm really interested to hear all of your thoughts on this month's book Word Nerd. I will also hand out our new book, Out of the Cold by Norah McClintock.
Also, get ready for a spooky surprise - I've found a crazy halloween craft for us to do - brace yourselves, this one's interesting!

Book Club Begins Again!
It's almost time to register for this year's book club!
Mom and I are so excited to get started this year. You can register for the book club starting on September 7th. Don't forget to sign up both mom and daughter! Space is limited, so sign up early!
I will hand out our official first book at our meeting on September 22nd. However, to get us started, I would love to hear about the favourite book each of you read over the summer.

Adieu for the summer!

It was great to see some of you on Wednesday night as we celebrated our final meeting for this school year! A fond farewell to Katie and Annmarie who will be moving away this summer.
The book club will resume in September, with the first meeting to be held on September 22nd. You will all need to re-register starting September 7th.

Ingrid and the Wolf
Hi everyone!
It was great to see many of you last night as we talked about life, death and chocolate!
If you didn't make it to the meeting, there are copies of our new book "Ingrid and the Wolf" by Andre Alexis in my office at the library. It's a short novel, so it won't take you too long to read!
This will be our last book we read together, as May 19th will be our last meeting for the year! If you have any great ideas of what we should do for our last meeting, email me, or post them here!

New Book
Hi Everyone!
It was great to see so many of you out for our chocolate party and movie viewing this week! I for one am still recovering from the sugar shock!
If you couldn't make it this week, I have copies of our next book Losing Forever on my desk. Please go ahead and ask the staff for a copy if I am not in.
As for our meeting date in March - seems like all of you have decided to go away for March Break! So, I will look in to getting the date changed. Keep checking here for an update once I have a new date.
Enjoy the book, and don't worry - Spring is just around the corner!

Valentine's Day Party!
Hi everyone:
Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting early on February 17th. We will start the party at 7 pm sharp with a quick discussion about The Secret Garden, and then enjoy the movie version! Don't forget, we will also have a chocolate fountain for the evening - Happy Valentine's Day! We will meet in the Neill Room off of the children's section so we have a better view of our feature film.
Our new book for March will be Losing Forever by Gayle Friesen. For those of you who were in book club last year, she is the same author who wrote The Isabel Factor. I think you will all enjoy this one just as much!

It's Classic Month!
Hi everyone:
It was great to see you all last evening, as well as to welcome Maria and Meagan to our group!
I have handed out our new book: The Secret Garden and have one copy in my office for each of the families that were not present last night. Just ask for them when you are in!
Our next meeting will be on Wed. February 17th, but will start at 7:00 pm so that we can watch all of The Secret Garden and decide which is better, the book or the movie. We we also be celebrating Valentine's Day with the Chocolate fountain!!!
I would love to hear what you have all been reading lately, and whether or not you would recommend others read them. Post your comments here!
